Atlanta's Christ The King Named A National Blue Ribbon School
The Department of Education announced 349 winners of the prestigious award.

ATLANTA, GA -- Atlanta's Christ The King has been named a Blue Ribbon School from the U.S. Department of Education. Christ The King is one of 349 schools nationwide to win a the award, and one of award from the U.S. Department of Education this year, the district announced. Blessed Sacrament School was one of 12 Virginia schools to receive the honor.
Now in its 36th year, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has highlighted more than 8,800 educational institutions that have test scores in the top 15 percent in their state and no major gaps among students from different demographics.
The Department of Education will honor the 349 Blue Ribbon Schools on Nov. 7-8 at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
