A foundation created in the name of the man who fell 10 stories to his death at a Buckhead condominium in April is hosting an event to support cancer research.
BogerFEST, the inaugural fundraising event from the Burke Boger Foundation, will take place at 5 Paces Inn in Buckhead on Friday, September 6, will include live entertainment, food from popular Atlanta restaurants, including Publik Draft House (P.D.H.), and drink specials.
Boger's death was believed to be a suicide by Atlanta Police. The 32-year-old was beloved throughout Atlanta for his outgoing and friendly personality and was educated at Westminster Schools, where he first began performing.
“BogerFEST is a celebration of the life of Burke Boger, my friend and someone I consider one of the most giving people I have ever met,” stated Mick Ryan, BogerFEST organizer, in a release. “Burke’s friends created the Burke Burger Foundation to not only celebrate who Burke was, but also to give back to a cause he cared so much about. We invite everyone to join us in a fun evening to help us raise funds to support cancer research in Atlanta.”
Tickets for BogerFEST will be available at Five Paces Inn on event day. Two donation options are available including a $10.00 entry donation or $25.00 donation, which includes entry, a t-shirt and wristband. A raffle with various prizes and merchandise will also be available for purchase at the event. All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to benefiting the Burke Boger Foundation.
