Brothers Arrested for Operating Small Fraud Ring

Atlanta Police arrested two brothers for running a fraud ring by creating fake businesses to obtain lines of credit.
According to a report from Fox 5 Atlanta, the brothers were running a major fraud ring which caused small businesses across the country to lose approximately $300,000.
A fraud manager at Tech Data Corp. noticed that some of the company's Lenovo laptops were being shipped to "virtual offices" in Buckhead and in downtown Atlanta and notified Atlanta Police.
According to a release from Atlanta Police, on June 13, Atlanta Police's Major Fraud Unit, the Homeland Security Unit and U.S. Secret Service Agents helped put tracking devices in boxes of laptops the brothers were delivering.
Rodney Sandridge, 47, picked up the boxes from a location on Lenox Road and then picked up his 45-year-old brother, Antonio, in Decatur.
The brothers then attempted to broker a sale of the laptops at Park Place Jewelers with Omeed Sheikh-Sajjadieh, son of the jewelry store's owner.
After Sheikh-Sajjadieh and Rodney Sandridge took two of the nine laptop boxes into the store, officers moved in and made arrests.
Both Sandridge brothers and Sheikh-Sajjadieh were transported to Fulton County Jail without incident.
