Buckhead Coalition Donates Bike Racks for Area Police Cars

To facilitate a method for maximizing utilization of police bikes, the Buckhead Coalition has purchased two racks for APD Zone 2 that can hold three bikes each.  This detachable equipment allows the three officers trained for this unit to travel to a beat or action destination quickly for the start of bike patrolling.   

Over the years, the Coalition has provided other related equipment, including bikes and special apparel.  The Coalition’s president, Sam Massell, has consistently taken the position it “stands ready to supplement government’s capacity to supply appropriate equipment, wherever needed.”
