Buckhead Coalition Says No to Bike Lanes
A poll of Buckhead Coalition members showed overwhelming opposition to the proposed bike lanes on Peachtree Road, according to a report.

The Buckhead Coalition is formally opposing a plan to install bike lanes on Peachtree Road after a majority of the groupβs members nixed the idea in a recent poll.
Plans for Peachtree Road include converting the six-lane thoroughfare down to four lanes, with a two-way left turn lane in the middle. The removal of one lane should provide enough space for cyclists on both sides of the road. The bicycle lanes would run from Peachtree Battle Avenue to Deering Road.
Poll participants cited safety of the cyclists as a prime concern due to the high volume of traffic which already occupies Peachtree Road, Atlanta Business Chronicle says. Members also expressed their opposition to the plan by contacting Buckheadβs representatives on the Atlanta City Council
