ATLANTA β€” Atlanta eatery landmark Buckead Diner won’t be serving any more banana cream pies or blue cheese potato chips, according to reports.

The lease for the 30-year Atlanta landmark, with its stainless steel outdoor facade, ended in July, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle first reported that the property at the corner of Piedmont Road and East Paces Ferry Road, about a half-mile south of Peachtree Road, sold last week for $6 million to Atlanta real estate developer Jim Cummings' firm Trillium Management Inc.

Buckhead Diner closed its doors more than a year ago, as the COVID-19 pandemic claimed business from restaurants across the country. But the sale means the doors likely won’t reopen for the same business.

It is unclear what will come of the property.
