Buckhead Library Patrons Carjacked at Gunpoint

Two patrons of the Northside branch of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library were carjacked on Wednesday afternoon at gunpoint. One vehicle has been recovered.

On Wednesday, two patrons of the Northside branch of Atlanta-Fulton Public Library at 3295 Northside Parkway were carjacked at gunpoint around 5:30 p.m.

The Mt. Paran Northside Citizens Association posted on its website an email about the incident from one of the carjacking victims. Major Van Hobbs, Atlanta Police Zone 2 Commander, confirmed that the incident occurred as the victim described in her email.

The victim was putting books in the trunk of her car when two teenagers, who were only described as African-American, approached her and demanded her purse.
