Buckhead Man Kidnapped, Physically Assaulted While Jogging

BUCKHEAD, GA — A man who was jogging at his Buckhead apartment complex Wednesday told Atlanta Police he was kidnapped and physically assaulted by three men, according to the police department.

The man was jogging around 2:30 a.m. in the apartment complex near Bill Kennedy Way when three men in a black pickup truck approached him and forced him into the truck, police said.

Police said the man was physically assaulted while trying to fight off the suspects. Then, the man was able to escape from the truck and flag down a bystander who called 911.

Officers responded around 7:40 a.m. to Pharr Road.

The man said he no longer had his shoes, phone or wallet on him, police said. He had multiple lacerations in his face and head and was taken to the hospital.
