Buckhead Shooting Suspect Charged With Murder In Valet's Killing

The valet interrupted a vehicle break-in when he was shot to death, according to police and a media report.

BUCKHEAD, GA β€”A man has been arrested in connection with the Sept. 3 fatal shooting of a valet who interrupted a vehicle break-in at Piedmont Road, Atlanta News First reported Thursday.

The outlet reported Randy King was arrested in connection with the death of Harrison Olvey, 25.

According to the Fulton County Jail records, King was charged on suspicion of murder and parole violation. He was booked Wednesday into the jail and remained incarcerated Thursday.

In the past, Atlanta Police said the shooting happened around 1:40 a.m. in the 2400 block of Piedmont.

Police did not identify Olvey, but Atlanta News First reported the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office identified him.

Olvey interrupted a man breaking into a vehicle when he was shot to death, police said. Police did not identify the man. Olvey later died at a local hospital of his injuries, police said.
