CBRE Atlanta was tapped to lease and manage Resurgens Plaza, an icon in the Buckhead submarket. Eric Ross, Peter McGuone and Sabrina Gibson will take the lead.

CBRE’s first initiative was to change the name back to Resurgens Plaza rather than “The Plaza,” as the name “Resurgens” has historical relevance in Atlanta, as well as name recognition in the industry.

The building recently underwent a $3.5 million renovation in 2013. Updates to the building include a full refresh of the Grand Lobby and a new 5,000-square-foot fitness center, complete with lockers and showers. Café renovations are underway and will be completed by the end of the year.
“These renovations, funded by a well-capitalized owner, and the direct covered building access to the Lenox MARTA station are differentiators for Resurgens,” Ross said. “This building has one of the few remaining large blocks in Buckhead and is well-positioned within the market.”

“We’re seeing a national trend of companies moving back into urban cores and closer to public transportation,” McGuone said. “Buckhead–and specifically Resurgens Plaza–should benefit from this migration. Resurgens is the only building in Buckhead that sits directly atop a MARTA station and can accommodate a tenant larger than 70,000 square feet on contiguous floors.”
