Chastain East: 32-Home Community Coming to Buckhead

BUCKHEAD, GA -- Development recently began on Chastain East, a 32-home, eight-acre community along Wieuca Road nestled against the east side of Chastain Park in Buckhead.

In addition to its marquee location, the project has going for it the development partnership of Home South Communities and Southeast Capital, the latter of which being the company tasked with renovating the Masquerade venue in Midtown. With much of the Roswell Road corridor built up with retail, the new project offers one of the few remaining parcels for high-end residential space.

Chastain East will be a cluster of single-family luxury homes priced from $1 million and up, according to Engel & Völkers Developer Services, which is marketing the project.

Zoned in the W.T. Jackson Elementary School district, the Chastain East community will be a short walk from Chastain Park and its venerable amphitheatre, one of the city's preeminent concert venues. Other amenities in the area include a youth sports complex featuring a baseball diamond, running path and horse park for the equestrian set.

The new project, which broke ground in mid-March, is replacing a set of 15 older homes surrounded by businesses. The first two homes are already reserved and will be ready for a late June move-in.

Ashley Battleson, who has sold more than $100 million worth of real estate since 2009, is leading sales efforts.
