City of Atlanta Opens Outdoor Community Pools
In addition to free community swim hours, daily rates for outdoor community pools are $4 for adults and $2 for children and senior citizens.

City of Atlanta outdoor community pools for residents and visitors opened during the Memorial Day weekend.
“The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is making a splash this summer with new and exciting programs at the outdoor pools including Early Bird Swim every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Grant Park Pool and Free Senior Swim hours for individuals 55 and older at Powell and South Bend Pools,” Annika Holder, executive director, Office of Recreation, said in a news release.
“During the week, free Community Swim is available, providing kids in Atlanta with a place to beat the heat while being active and enjoying the outdoors. Also this summer, the John A. White pool will reopen offering the first and only zero-entry pool. With access to thirteen outdoor pools and four spray grounds, Mayor Reed’s vision of providing activities and positive experiences for Atlanta‘s youth is further being realized.”

All residents are encouraged to become Atlanta Recreation Center members today and receive DPR membership passes, which provide access to all city of Atlanta natatoriums, recreation centers and outdoor pools. Pass holders are also permitted to swim in open lanes and have access to weight and fitness rooms at recreation centers. For membership access, visit www.atlantaga.gov/iparc.
