1. On Saturday, Atlanta's nightlife division held a training session to help keep the city safer. Mayor Andre Dickens, alongside police and fire officials, joined business owners and industry leaders to review de-escalation strategies, active shooter situations, and tools to stop life-threatening injuries at local nightclubs and businesses. The event comes over a month after the triple shooting at a Buckhead restaurant which claimed the life of one and injured two others. (CBS 46 News)
2. Passengers departing from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will soon have more travel options. Delta Air Lines will offer direct service from Atlanta to Cape Town this year, with direct service to Tel Aviv coming in 2023. According to U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock, the move will bring up to $150 million each year to the greater Atlanta area. (City of Atlanta Government via Facebook)
3. DaniLeigh will bring her velvety vocals to the Buckhead Theatre on Sep. 22. The rising singer has announced her 4 Velour Tour, her first headlining tour that will travel nationwide. DaniLeigh has previously collaborated with DaBaby and Chris Brown. (Rated R&B)
