Convicted Felon Caught In Alleged Buckhead Car Break-in
Yan Gruzdov had been arrested 13 times for a range of offenses before police caught him allegedly breaking into a BMW.

ATLANTA -- A convicted felon and repeat offender with 13 prior arrests, including on charges of aggravated assault and obstruction, has been arrested after allegedly breaking into a BMW in Buckhead. Police said Yan Gruzdov 35, was apprehended on March 4 around 8 pm when officers responded to a car break-in at 707 Park Avenue, where witnesses described three suspects looking into vehicles and attempting to break into a BMW sedan.
Police saw one of the suspects and approached him, when the suspect, now identified as Gruzdov, attempted to run away. The officers pursued him and took him into custody after a brief struggle. The other two suspects were also arrested.
Gruzdov is facing charges of entering auto, criminal trespass, prowling, and obstruction. The other two suspects were released after police said there was no evidence linking them to a crime.
