Lamborghini Driver Throws Woman Out Of Moving Car, Killing Her

The driver of a Lamborghini who police believe threw a woman from the car as he sped through Buckhead could face murder charges.

ATLANTA — Police are investigating the death of a woman who was killed when a witness says she was thrown from a moving car late Monday night in Buckhead.

And a suspect connected to the deadly ejection of 28-year-old Catherine Khan is in Atlanta Police investigators' sights.

Police were called to the corner of Peachtree Road and Piedmont Road around 11 p.m., where they were told the woman was ejected from a white Lamborghini Hurracan.

Before officers arrived witnesses who called 9-1-1 said the woman was left strewn in the middle of Piedmont Road as the driver of the Lamborghini drove off.

But witness descriptions of what happened leading up to that moment and beyond point to a deliberate act — even down to seeing the car drive back by the scene before speeding away.

“There was a fight or an altercation,” a male witness told an emergency dispatcher in a recording released by Atlanta Police. “And she was thrown out from the car. They pushed her out. Right through the (open) roof.”

He said of the 2017 sportscar with plates that read “BULLRUN.”

A female witness told a 9-1-1 operator that a crowd was building around Khan as she lay in the street holding up traffic to prevent oncoming vehicles from striking her.

The first witness then took the phone from her saying that he lost his initial connection but stayed on the phone as the dispatcher gave first aid instructions for him to follow until paramedics arrived.

At one point as the man spoke with the 9-1-1 operator, he described seeing the Lamborghini again.

“Is that the car?” the witness asked another bystander before directing his comments to the dispatcher. “The Lambo passed again on Piedmont going towards Georgia 400.”

An incident released by Atlanta Police named the owner of the Lamborghini as Alfred Megbuluba, and a police spokesman confirmed that the offenses against him as listed in the report are murder and non-negligent manslaughter.

It is unclear if Megbuluba is in custody, and police have provided no other information.

The investigation is ongoing.
