Here are the top three stories in Buckhead today:

  1. On Sunday morning, Atlanta Fire responded to a fire near a nightclub in Buckhead. The call came in around 10:40 a.m. at 2159 Piedmont Road, resulting in a lane closure that caused delays south of the club. According to fire officials, smoke was coming out of the two-story building when they arrived and fire crews were able to contain the fire from inside the building. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens has signed legislation to support reproductive care in the Atlanta metro area. The legislation was introduced by District 5 Councilmember Liliana Bakhtiari, which the mayor signed on Friday, Aug. 5. The legislation allocates $300,000 to support the efforts of Access Reproductive Care (ARC) Southeast. (City of Atlanta)
  3. The Buckhead library kicked off a scavenger hunt called "Things That Go" late last week and will run through Aug. 15. The hunt takes place in the children's section of the library, where 15 vehicles have been hidden. You can pick up a game sheet at the Information Desk and learn more about the event here.
