Free Screening of Human Trafficking Documentary Saturday

On Saturday morning in Buckhead, the Junior League of Atlanta will present “Stop the Candy Shop,” a documentary examining domestic minor sex trafficking and the power of one individual to change the situation for the better. 

The free screening will take place in the Love Auditorium at The Atlanta Speech School, located at 3160 Northside Parkway.

Following the breakfast viewing, a panel discussion will be led by Street Grace, a local organization that works to end CSEC in our community. The expert panel will provide the audience with the action steps to help end CSEC 

Human trafficking is a key initiative for the Junior League of Atlanta due to the fact that Atlanta has been dubbed the capital of sexual exploitation in the U.S.

The film is a Fairytale/Parable about the child sex trafficking epidemic that has overrun the city of Atlanta. The film not only raises awareness, but provokes meaningful action towards this issue taking place in our own backyard.

Approximately 500 children are trafficked for sex in Georgia every month, according to Street GRACE, whose mission is to stop the exploitation of children. Atlanta has one of the worst records for child sex trafficking in the United States and is considered one of the worst cities in the world for the sexual exploitation of minors.
