Buckhead Village business seems to be getting back to pre-pandemic levels now that shoppers and diners are leaving the house again. Josh Green reported this week that luxury retail sales are up 50 percent this year versus the same timeframe in 2019. Thatβs great news for merchants and guests alike.Β
Jamestown Properties
The folks at Jamestown Properties seem to have a knack for creating inviting environments for Atlantaβs hippest residents to shop, eat, and mingle. Jamestown is the firm responsible for Ponce City Market and the Westside Provisions District, and Buckhead Village.

Jamestown bought the development two years ago and changed the name from βthe Shops at Buckhead Atlantaβ to the more inviting βBuckhead Villageβ. Since then, the Village has gained updated and expanded public spaces, and multiple options for shopping, dining, and even working out. The 1,960 sq.ft Veranda is a covered open-air space that provides guests a place to hang out, as well as a venue for events and performances. Pop-up shops and dining have kept Buckhead Village in the public eye, even during the uncertain times over the past year.
Full Speed Ahead
Buckhead Art & Company, Hermes, B.M. Franklin & Co, and other Village vendors are surely pleased by the rebounding business, and the increased traffic is attracting new merchants and restaurants like Todd Patrick and Storico Vino. High-end consignment boutique The Real Real opened its Buckhead outpost on the edge of Buckhead Village in June. New leases have been signed for small businesses to come before the end of the year.
Buckhead Village has become a marketing tool for rental property, a selling point for local real estate, and a draw for visitors. All in all itβs great to see this vibrant section of Buckhead firing on all cylinders again.Β
