About 300 people came out for the "Embagga Means Party" event Thursday night at The Buckhead Theatre.
Once they heard the beat of the drums, played by some of the members of the African's Children Choir, most people couldn't help but move their feet.
The event was held to help benefit the choir and former CNN producer Erin Levin's documentary about the Ugandan-based choir called Imba Means Sing. The audience was able to rock out to the music of Chris Cauley from The Voice and other local musicians performing in the ATL collective.
Imba Means Sing follows the journey of 20 Ugandan children from the slums of Uganda to the United States, Canada, the U.K and back again, performing as the Grammy-nominated African Childrenβs Choir. Embagga Means Party will be a part of the documentary. The documentary will highlight the global education crisis.
