πŸ“° Here are the top stories in Buckhead today:

  1. The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) chased a 24-year-old BMW driver who fled during a stop Saturday morning. The chase went along West Paces Ferry Road and ended in a rollover crash, with a subsequent fireball, at West Paces Ferry and Habersham roads. Miraculously, the high-speed driver was thrown clear of the car and still was able to run off. Even so, the driver was caught down the road. (Fox)
  2. Are you familiar with the Pelham Square development at 2199 Lenox Road? Monday’s report outlines that the designs underwent a few tweaks, resulting in a modern style that may appeal to contemporary homebuyers. This 22-unit project β€œwill have two bedrooms and two and Β½ bathrooms, each with private yards.” Originally, developers broke ground in 2021 and anticipated a price point of about $400,000. However, a new developer has taken over and the price point is now closer to $645,000. A move-in date is expected for May. (Urbanize Atlanta)
  3. Little Rey might be coming to the Northside Parkway. One is already at 1878 Piedmont Avenue Northeast. However, we learned on Monday that the owner is eyeing the Northcreek Office Park redevelopment as another space and submitted a permit application. Assuming there’s no hitch with the application, the restaurant would join The Daily CafΓ© and Pace Fitness. By the way, the development will break ground sometime this year, and the plans are for the tenants to come in at the end of the year. (Atlanta Business Chronicle)
  4. How’s PATH400 coming along? Last week’s update highlights that a lot has happened since the November ceremonial groundbreaking. Passersby can look forward to erosion control measures, orange fencing and the part that nobody likes: taking down the trees. By February, rough grading, and by June, you’re going to see the beginning of the bridge over Mountain Way. Now we’re in 2024, and β€œthe crews will work to build the trail out from the middle, moving northward to Loridans and southward to Wieuca at the same time.” (Path 400)
