  1. The Atlanta Police Department (APD) discovered a body near Piedmont Avenue Northeast at Moroe Drive Northeast. Firefighters located a homeless encampment and a deceased person. Both the fire and the death are currently under investigation. (APD)
  2. Do you remember when MARTA tested its Reach Shuttle services in the city? At a meeting on Thursday, staff members suggested buying software that would let them make the shuttles a permanent option. Citing the pilot program's success β€” some 8,300 customers used the shuttles β€” meeting participants acknowledged that they β€œallocated too many vehicles and operators.” (Atlanta Business Chronicle/paywall)
  3. JPMorgan Chase & Co. is doing well in Buckhead. We learned on Thursday that the company will expand its local footprint by 40,000 square feet at Monarch Tower, 3424 Peachtree Road. You may remember that the bank already leases 93,000 square feet at this location. While it’s unclear how the company intends to fill the new space, the project name β€œJPMC Monarch Tower Global Tech Expansion” offers some hints. (Fulton Watch)
  4. If you haven’t been to the High Museum of Art recently, now is a good time for a visit. The venue at 1280 Peachtree Street Northeast opened its Joseph Stella exhibit on Friday. Head to the second floor, and take in the beauty of the β€œVisionary Nature” collection that consists of more than 100 pieces of modernist art. The collection is described as a β€œvariegated portrait of nature.” (High)
  5. The Atlanta Science Festival is coming to Piedmont Park! Running from March 10 to 25, it's the 10th return of the event. While the festival stretches across multiple locations, its β€œexplosive conclusion” will be at the park. (Atlanta Science Festival)
