Angels Among Us Pet Fundraiser: In celebration of International Dog Day, Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint Buckhead is hosting a fundraiser for Angels Among Us Pet Rescue on Monday, Aug 26th. We will be donating 10 percent of all sales from 5-10 p.m. to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue so that we can assist them in continuing to find loving homes for dogs and cats all over the Atlanta metro area.

NAPPS Meeting- APS Board of Education Candidate Forum: The first NAPPS (North Atlanta Parents for Public Schools) meeting of the 2013-14 school year will be this Wednesday, August 28, 7 p.m. at Bolton Academy and will feature APS Board of Education candidates in an engaging Q&A panel discussion.  There will be candidates from District 3, 4 & 5 as well as all At Large Seats, both incumbents and new articulating their ideas for the future of APS.

Chris Porter to Perform at Atlanta Improv: Chris Porter, seen on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and his own “Comedy Central Presents” special, is bringing his talents to the Atlanta Improv stage Thursday, August 29 – Saturday, August 31.
