Neighbor Helps Scare Off Armed Robbers Attacking Buckhead Woman

A neighbor of a Buckhead woman attacked by two men with a gun sprang into action, firing shots that scared off the woman's attackers.

Mallory Hastings said she was just getting home to her townhome on Biscayne Boulevard early Labor Day morning after work and grocery shopping when two men pushed her to the ground and jammed a gun against her cheek.

One of the men tore at her shirt, she said, and she handed over the $300 she earned in tips that day. The men also stole her iPhone, purse and ID.

With her hands straight up in the air, Hastings screamed "no" repeatedly. Her neighbor, hearing her screams, came out with his own gun and fired at least four shots. Hastings said the neighbor was aiming for the men's tires as they jumped into a vehicle and sped away, according to a report from WSB-TV.

Witnesses said they saw a 2013 light-colored Chevy Impala around the time of the incident.
