New Live Music Program for Third Fridays at the High
Friday Night Music Remix will feature jazz, blues, Latin music, bluegrass and more and will include full museum access, including special exhibitions.
The High Museum of Art is introducing a new live music program in conjunction with its new Friday Night Lates weekend kickoff hours.
Beginning June 20, the High will present a rotating schedule of musical genres every third Friday of the month* from 5 to 10 p.m., replacing previously offered Friday Jazz concerts. Titled Friday Night Music Remix, the new concerts will feature jazz, blues, Latin music, bluegrass and more and will include full museum access, including special exhibitions.
To kick off Friday Night Music Remix on June 20, Georgia-based duo Cicada Rhythm, musician Lonnie Holley and special guests will perform in the Highβs Robinson Atrium. Museum guests may also enjoy the special exhibition βDream Cars: Innovative Design, Visionary Ideas.β For the unveiling of the βMi Casa, Your Casaβ installation on the Sifly Piazza on July 18, the High will present live music in partnership with the Instituto de MΓ©xico, and gloATL also will perform.

βOver the past few years, we have heard from many visitors who said they would like to see more variety in the Highβs monthly live music offerings,β Kristen Delaney, the Highβs director of marketing and communications, said in a news release. βIn response to that feedback, weβre taking the opportunity to refresh our programming in conjunction with our new Friday Night Lates series.β
