One of the cars victimized by thieves was a vintage Rolls-Royce, police said.

Atlanta police are investigating a massive car break-in operation which took place at a Buckhead condominium complex overnight Tuesday.

Police tell WSB-TV that thieves broke into 31 cars at the Terraces on Peachtree Condominiums, including a vintage Rolls-Royce. It may take days to assess the damage caused by the crime spree, the station says.

A witness told police he saw one set of four black males leave parking lot in a gold Honda SRV, and spotted another set of four black males leave in a black Nissan Altima. Other witnesses told police the two groups had been spotted on different ends of the parking lot.

A complex employee who was also a victim of a break-in told police the parking lots had security cameras, though he did not know how to operate them. The victim told police that the day watch manager should be able to secure the security camera footage, according to a police report.
