Panera Bread Closing At Lenox Square

ATLANTA, GA -- Panera Bread is closing its location at Lenox Square in Buckhead. The store's last day of operation will be Monday, Dec. 17, 2018. Panera's other two locations in Buckhead -- on Powers Ferry Square on Roswell Road and Peachtree Square on Peachtree Road -- will remain open.

Employees were told of the closing around Thanksgiving, reports Tomorrow's News Today. A Lenox Square spokesperson told the media out that Simon, the mall's owner, "Simon has a strategic leasing plan in place for Lenox Square. We will share information as leases are finalized.”

The publication is speculating that sales had nothing to do with Panera's closure, but rather the closing was related to increasing rents.
