Police Investigated Fifth Buckhead Suspicious Package in a Week

The police have not shut down the roads around the area.

Atlanta Police are investigating a suspicious tote bag found at Lenox Road near GA-400, known as the Buckhead Loop.

According to reports from WSB-TV, police initially did not shut down the roads around the area where the bag was found. However, as they investigated, Atlanta firefighters were forced to shut down the northbound ramp of GA-400.

The package was deemed safe. Atlanta Police spokesman Sgt. Gregory Lyon told Buckhead Patch, "The package contained old food and has been cleared."

This is the fifth suspicious package found and investigated by Atlanta Police in the Buckhead area since the Boston Marathon bombings.
