Man Arrested in SC Could be Tied to Buckhead Kidnapping

Atlanta Police officers say a suspect has been arrested in one of the 3 recent Buckhead kidnapping cases.


Atlanta Police investigators say that a man arrested in South Carolina over the weekend may be connected to one or more of the recent kidnapping cases in Buckhead.Β 

Over the past three weeks there have been three incidents in the Buckhead area in which victims were forced into their cars and driven to ATMs.

11Alive reportes that a suspect in one of the incidents that happened about three weeks ago has been arrested in South Carolina.

Atlanta Police, faced with the possibility that the cases are not all related, say they plan to conduct a lineup with the suspect in South Carolina before releasing sketches of any suspects. According to 11Alive, Major Van Hobbs says that they are looking at at each case "individually as well as collectively" as the police department continues to piece the cases together.

In the latest incident, a man was smoking a cigarette outside of his home on Karland Drive when two gunmen forced him into his car and took his wallet, later dropping him off miles away near the West End Mall.
