Report: Ole Miss Star Robert Nkemdiche's Fall Caused by Synthetic Pot

An Atlanta police report claims that there were at least seven marijuana cigarettes inside the football player's Buckhead hotel room.

BUCKHEAD, GA -- Ole Miss football star Robert Nkemdiche fell from his fourth-floor Buckhead hotel room because he was allegedly under the influence of synthetic marijuana, according to a report.

Nkemdiche allegedly became paranoid and was convinced someone was chasing after him, causing him to break out a double window and fall out of it, Fox Sports says.

Nkemdiche was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital after suffering two 15-foot falls at the Hyatt on Peachtree Street at approximately 11:20 p.m. Saturday.

Following treatment at the hospital, Nkemdiche was arrested and charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

An Atlanta police report claims that an officer who entered Nkemdiche’s room discovered “approximately 7 rolled marijuana cigarettes, rolled in Cigarillo Blunt papers.” Additionally, the officer noted the room was in ”complete disarray.”

Nkemdiche’s brother Denzel Nkemdiche, who also plays for Ole Miss, has also allegedly struggled with synthetic cannabis abuse, Fox Sports says. That outlet reports Denzel Nkemdiche’s recent trip to a Mississippi hospital was allegedly due to paranoid behavior possibly caused by synthetic marijuana.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says Denzel Nkemdiche has already been benched for the Rebels’ upcoming bowl game. No decision on Robert Nkemdiche’s participation has been made yet.
