πŸ“° Here are the top stories in Buckhead today:

  1. On Saturday, before noon, the Atlanta Police Department (APD) received notice of a shooting at 1080 Peachtree Street Northeast. After the shooting victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, officers determined he was β€œthe primary aggressor in a domestic dispute” before a third party fired the shot. The aggressor was taken to Grady detention and charged β€œwith Battery/Family Violence.” (APD)
  2. A Buckhead Chase bank is ground zero for an identity theft probe. Somebody entered the bank with a Southern California victim’s β€œIRA rollover check pretending to be him” and stole $400,000. Adding insult to injury, the victim felt the need to reach out to β€œChannel 2 Consumer Investigator Justin Gray after getting nowhere for more than three weeks trying to get his stolen money back from Chase.” In addition to cashing a check that was made out to β€œVanguard Investments,” the bank also β€œallowed the crook to open two checking accounts” in the victim’s name and β€œwrite $25,000 worth of checks.” The bank β€œwill not comment on the fraud or what went wrong with security measures.” (WSBTV)
  3. The Blue Divine Medical Spa at 107 West Paces Ferry Road Northwest is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. The company said on Friday that its location is a β€œfavorite of Atlanta celebrities, (but) you don't have to be famous (or on a celebrity budget) to get star treatment at Blue Divine.” (Digital Journal)
  4. The Cathedral of St. Philip will host the Requiem. On February 10, β€œtwo contrasting and deeply profound musical treatments” of this piece will be performed. β€œThe Cathedral Schola will open the evening, a cappella, with the poignant, almost painfully beautiful, non-liturgical Requiem by Herbert Howells, following which the full Cathedral Choir and orchestra will present Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s timeless masterpiece.” (Patch)
