'Spider-Man' Reboot Will Film in Atlanta: Report

Marvel’s latest comic book superhero film will complete most of its shooting in Atlanta, according to the actor cast in the titular role.

Tom Holland, who was named as the new face of the Spider-Man franchise following screen tests in Atlanta earlier this year, told Super Hero Hype that the majority of shooting would take place in Atlanta.

Holland said that he thought it would be cheaper to build a set of New York City in Atlanta than to film in the Big Apple itself, though there will be a week or two of production work there.

Marvel is no stranger to Atlanta film shoots; significant portions of “Captain America: Civil War” were filmed here, which led to plenty of celebrity buzz around town.

Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that shooting for ”Spider-Man” should begin some time next year.
