  2. In the early evening on Saturday, the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department (AFRD) extinguished a car fire. They arrived at Andrew Young International Boulevard at Peachtree Center Avenue Northeast and quickly put out the flames. 3. On Saturday evening, the Atlanta Police Department (APD) responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment at 3478 Lakeside Drive Northeast. A man was found dead, and another, who is believed to be a suspect, was identified. Reportedly, the two men knew each other and had argued. (APD)
  4. Buckhead residents believe they live in a safe place. Monday’s publication of a 2022 survey shows that 41% of respondents, as compared to 32% in 2021, say they feel safe where they live. Crime prevention measures were at the top of wanted improvements with 77%, while affordable housing was at the bottom with 33%. Road maintenance and pedestrian safety were also near the top of the list of needed improvements. What's somewhat surprising is the drop in participation in curbside recycling. (Saporta Report)
  5. Insiders reported that “Pilates” was the top trending term in the city in 2022. So, there’s a chance you might be looking for an excellent Pilates studio. The good news is that an insider has already done the heavy lifting and narrowed down the search.
