Teen Rams Mercedes Into Trooper's Car In Buckhead: Report

Sixteen-year-old girl listed as missing hits trooper's car after being pulled over for DUI.

BUCKHEAD, GA -- A 16-year-old girl was arrested recently after allegedly ramming a Georgia State Patrol car with her Mercedes, Patch has learned.

The teen is facing driving under the influence and other charges in the incident, which happened March 3 on Howell Mill Road, according to news reports.

Three females were inside the car when a state trooper pulled it over on Interstate 75 northbound for driving without headlights and failure to maintain lane, according to WAGA-TV.

The vehicle stopped, then left the scene before pulling over in a parking lot on Howell Mill Road. When the trooper tried to block them in, the driver rammed his vehicle, β€œpushing it out of the way,” the GSP said, according to the Austin-American Statesman. The crash "disabled" both vehicles, a GPS spokesman said.

The trooper place the driver under arrest, but the other two passengers fled and have not been found by police, WAGA reports.

β€œAfter further investigation it was found that the female was a 16-year-old runaway (who) was entered on GCIC (Georgia Crime Information Center) as a missing juvenile by Hapeville police," the GSP said, according to the Statesman.
