Teen Rams Mercedes Into Trooper's Car In Buckhead: Report

BUCKHEAD, GA -- A 16-year-old girl was arrested recently after allegedly ramming a Georgia State Patrol car with her Mercedes, Patch has learned.

The teen is facing driving under the influence and other charges in the incident, which happened March 3 on Howell Mill Road, according to news reports.

Three females were inside the car when a state trooper pulled it over on Interstate 75 northbound for driving without headlights and failure to maintain lane, according to WAGA-TV.

The vehicle stopped, then left the scene before pulling over in a parking lot on Howell Mill Road. When the trooper tried to block them in, the driver rammed his vehicle, “pushing it out of the way,” the GSP said, according to the Austin-American Statesman. The crash "disabled" both vehicles, a GPS spokesman said.

The trooper place the driver under arrest, but the other two passengers fled and have not been found by police, WAGA reports.

“After further investigation it was found that the female was a 16-year-old runaway (who) was entered on GCIC (Georgia Crime Information Center) as a missing juvenile by Hapeville police," the GSP said, according to the Statesman.
