Thief Steals $20K of Louis Vuitton Purses: Police

Atlanta police are asking for help identifying the suspect responsible for the Monday theft.

BUCKHEAD, GA -- Atlanta police are looking for the suspect who stole almost $20,000 worth of Louis Vuitton purses from a Buckhead store Monday morning.

Police say that a black male, clean shaven, with long dreads, about 5’11 to 6’0 in height, wearing β€œround shaped” glasses, a Fedora hat and a long tan coat entered the Bella bag store located at 3065 Peachtree Street at 11 a.m. and took six bags off the shelves.

The sixΒ Louis Vuitton purses were valued between $2,700 and $3,100 dollars per purse bringing the total to $19,494.00 dollars, police say.

The suspect was captured on security camera footage swinging one of the purses at an employee trying to stop him, before escaping from the store and getting away in a black sedan with tinted windows, according to police.
