Thieves Make Off with $30K in Jewelry from Phipps Plaza

Atlanta Police are investigating the jewelry heist.

Atlanta Police are investigating a Wednesday morning theft at Belk at Phipps Plaza where two men made off with $30,000 in jewelry.

According to reports, the two men entered the department store. After one man smashed the glass jewelry case with a hammer, the other lifted a tray of diamond earrings, valued at approximately $30,000.

The men were last seen in a parking deck adjacent to Phipps Plaza. Police responded to the call about the heist around 11:10 a.m., according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to report to Crime Stoppers (404) 577-8477, where they may remain anonymous.

Callers may be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
