1. A man was shot to death at 8213 Brookwood Valley Circle Northeast. Reportedly, the victim “was engaged in an ongoing altercation with a known suspect” on Saturday evening. The situation escalated into a fatal shooting. (Atlanta Police Department)
2. JLL will “offer leasing services” for the 402,929-square-foot office tower, Resurgens Plaza. On Monday we learned that the Class A office building underwent “significant property improvements, focusing on enhancing the tenant’s work experience by prioritizing wellness, connectivity, and sustainability.” (Commercial Property Executive)
3. Tyler Perry’s mad. We learned on Monday that the owner of Tyler Perry Studios at 315 Deshler Street Southwest tried to buy the adjacent Forces Command building, which is supposed to become an FDA lab by 2025. Perry had offered to buy it for “$17 mil, but the feds sold it to Easterly, instead.” “To allow someone to put a laboratory in the heart of this development with smokestacks is not okay with me. They would not do it in Buckhead,” he said. The FDA chimed in to say that the facility’s “actually designed to clean all emissions.” (TMZ)
4. Would you like rapper Lil Jon to renovate your home? According to Monday’s report, some of your Buckhead neighbors already signed on. Lil Jon is partnering with Anitra Mecadon on the latest HGTV show, “Lil Jon Wants To Do What?” The idea is to “take on projects with skeptical homeowners who have ideas they don't believe are possible to achieve.” Look for the show in the spring.
