(ICYMI) Buford High Among Nation's Best at 'Beating Odds'

Newsweek on Wednesday published its list of top high schools nationwide, alongside a second set of rankings of schools that excel despite economic and other obstacles.

Along with its America’s Top High Schools 2015 list, Newsweek also compiled “Beating the Odds” rankings, which listed the top 500 high schools in the U.S. for low-income students.

Buford High School was one of only four Georgia school included on the list, and was ranked No. 390 nationally. Others from Georgia: DeKalb School of the Arts, 234th; Columbus High School, 286th; Crisp County High, 496th.

Buford is no stranger to such national rankings. It was on Newsweek’s 2014 America’s Top High School List, as well as on lists compiled by the Washington Post and U.S. News & World Report.
