2 Dead In Head-On Crash In Cherokee
"This is a heartbreaking and tragic accident," Cherokee County Sheriff Frank Reynolds said of the deadly crash.
CANTON, GA —Two people are dead after a head-on crash Monday morning at Fate Conn Road, west of Ball Ground Highway, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said.
The crash occurred around 8:15 a.m., when authorities said a BMW SUV crossed the center line and hit a Ford Mustang.
Authorities said the Mustang's driver, identified as 18-year-old Canton resident Luke Burgess, died at the scene.

The BMW's driver, who authorities identified as 67-year-old Canton resident Frank Coe, was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and later died of his injuries, authorities said.
It is unknown what caused the crash.
