  1. The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing adult male, last seen in the area of Allmond Lane and Birmingham Highway. Vance Lockridge, 21, is described as 6-foot-1 inches tall with short brown hair and beard. He was last seen wearing a turquoise Nike t-shirt, white stiped shorts and sandals. The missing male has autism and epilipsy. If you have seen Lockridge, please contact the sheriff at 678-493-4080 - you can reference case SO23-006753. (Cherokee Sheriff's Office via Facebook)
  2. If you've been wanting to volunteer your time and you love kittens, the Cherokee County Animal Shelter has an opportunity for you. The shelter has spots open for foster families to join in their efforts by taking care of the little ones while they get ready to find their forever homes. According to the shelter, almost 300 kittens were saved last year by families that volunteered their time and homes, and you can be one too.   3. A man from Dallas, Georgia, has been formally charged for shooting at a home on Palm Street in Holly Springs on March 5. Steven Nance is charged with several counts each of aggravated assault, stalking and aggravated assault family violence and one count each of criminal damage to property and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. No one in the home was injured during the shooting. Nance has been housed at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center awaiting trial since March. (Subscription: Cherokee Tribune & Ledger-News)
