  2. According to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office, a Woodstock woman who imitated a Georgia Department of Corrections officer was arrested for falsely identifying herself as a police officer.   3. A man from Ball Ground was convicted of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute in October and was sentenced this week to seven years behind bars. Bert Edward Otto, 46, will serve seven years in prison and 30 years on probation when he is released. (Canton-Sixes Patch)
  4. Two Cherokee County School District teachers were named 2023 Georgia STEM Scholars. Teresa Bailey and Kimberly Harrison from Clark Creek Elementary School STEM Academy were chosen for their excellence in teaching students about STEM and innovation in incorporating STEM into elementary and middle school lessons.   5. According to Cherokee County fire officials, two adults escaped a house fire early yesterday morning. It is unknown if there were injuries or how the fire began. The fire was near the Lake Arrowhead community. (Canton-Sixes Patch)
