• Students named to NGTC President's List and Honor Roll for Fall Semester 2025 (wnegradio.com) — A Canton student, Faith Romano, has earned a spot on North Georgia Technical College’s Fall 2025 Honor Roll for her work in Photography, representing Cherokee County alongside other high-achieving students. NGTC recognized dozens of Georgia students on its President’s List and Honor Roll for maintaining GPAs of 3.5 to 4.0 while enrolled full time.
   

• Wallace Howard Perkins (villages-news.com) — Family and friends in Canton can honor Navy veteran Wallace Howard Perkins at a service scheduled for January 23, 2026, at Georgia National Cemetery. The longtime Georgia native, an avid Bulldogs fan and former Honeywell Aerospace employee, is remembered by his wife, daughters, sister, granddaughter, and extended family.
