- The Canton Police Department has released tips on their Facebook page to help prevent motor vehicle accidents. The department posted the Impeding Traffic Flow law which states, "Georgia law provides no person shall drive a vehicle at such a slow speed to impede the normal and reasonable movement of traffic, except when reduced speed is necessary for safe operation." If any part of this law is unclear, the department asks the public to review the Official Code of Georgia Annotated 40-6-184 as the posted law is a simplification for understanding. The recognition program aims to shed light on outstanding middle and high school principals who have exceeded in their roles. - The Paulding County school bus driver from last week's altercation with parents has been suspended. The bus driver, who was a substitute, refused to let young children off the bus to their parents, claiming the children did not have the right credentials — a yellow exit tag — to exit the bus. A parent appeared to hit the bus driver as the situation escalated. Parents began removing their children from the bus through the windows and the emergency exit.
