Cherokee County Fire Chief Delivers Fire Truck

The truck was delivered Friday, July 15.

Cherokee County Fire Chief Tim Prather, delivered a fire truck to the volunteers at the Holbrook Fire Station on Friday, July 15.

According to Chief Prather, “This was the former Engine 15 that was located at Mica Fire Station. With the last bunch of new trucks the we received, this truck was owed to Station-25 as they needed a upgrade.

“The engine required a few upgrades to get it back in service. The upgrades included re-covering the cab seat, installation of a telescoping scene lite, installing two new box lights, newer rear tires, upgrading the warning lights on top and front and repainting the hood and roof that was severely weather beaten.

It has a new look which brought a big smile on the face of Rick Burns, a volunteer firefighter at Holbrook, when I delivered it to the station today,” added Prather.
