- A serious car crash on Canton Road shut down multiple lanes on Friday. All southbound lanes at Hawkins Store Road were blocked by the crash. Crews in Cobb County responded around 10:30 a.m. where it appeared an SUV ran off the road. Although it took several hours to clear the scene, there were significant delays afterwards. - Pipes bursting across Canton continue to cause complications. A major sprinkler pipe burst in the ceiling of a pediatrician's office. DV Pediatrics sustained major damage throughout the entire building as a result. The damage has caused the office to be shut down indefinitely. (Cherokee Tribune & Ledger-News via Facebook)
- On Jan. 25, 2023, the Cherokee County State of the County Address will take place. The session will begin at 11:30 a.m. and conclude at 1:30 p.m. It will be held at the Cherokee Conference Center on the Bluffs Parkway. - The Eighth Annual Christmas Camp at River Church in Canton begins in just a few days.
