- Yesterday, Jul. 6, the Cherokee County elections department began an audit of the May 24 and Jun. 21 elections. The audit is expected to be finished today, Jul. 7. (Tribune Ledger News)
- Utah Jazz Summer League basketball player Jordan Usher said, "I'm a blue collar dude. I'm from the country; I'm from Canton, Georgia" and just being able to "play hard basketball" is good enough for him. Usher was listed as the number three "overreaction" on "Summer League overreactions." (KSL)
- According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at least 13 cases of monkeypox have been reported in Georgia as of yesterday morning, Jul. 6, five more than last week. Health officials said that the first confirmed case in Georgia was in June 2022 in the metro Atlanta area. (Georgia Patch)
