  1. According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, two people died in a multiple-vehicle crash on Thanksgiving. One vehicle was traveling eastbound on Knox Bridge Highway in Canton when it crossed the median and hit another car with a family of four inside. The 52-year-old father and 18-year-old daughter were killed in the accident. The wife, other daughter, and 24-year-old driver of the other vehicle were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. (Canton-Sixes Patch)
  2. Cherokee County police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who broke into a car and used stolen credit cards at a Canton grocery store. The suspect was seen using the cards at the self-checkout line at Kroger on Hickory Flat Highway on Thursday. (WSB Atlanta)
  3. Canton was chosen to participate in the Georgia Initiative for Community Housing. Only five local governments were chosen out of Georgia for the program, which is three years and provides collaboration and technical assistance for housing and community development.   4. Two men were killed in a car crash in Cherokee County on Wednesday afternoon. One of the drivers, from Cartersville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened at Deer Track Drive in the Sutallee community. (WSB-TV)
