Field Set For 2021 Canton City Council Races
Three candidates qualified for the Canton City Council Municipal Election for all three wards.
CANTON, GA — Three candidates qualified for the Canton City Council Municipal Election for all three wards.
Terms for a Ward 1 Council Seat, Ward 2 Council Seat and Ward 3 Council Seat will expire on Dec. 31, thereby requiring a Municipal General Election to be held on Nov. 2, at Cherokee County election precincts serving the residents of the City of Canton to fill these positions.
All wards are city-at-large positions with geographic residency requirements.

At the close of the qualifying period on Wednesday, the following candidates qualified to run in the City of Canton Election on Tuesday, Nov. 2:
- Ward 1 - Sandra McGrew
- Ward 2 - Will Carlan
- Ward 3 - Dwayne A. Waterman
The voter registration deadline for the Nov. 2 election is Oct. 4. Registration is available online. For more information regarding voting, contact Cherokee County Elections and Voter Registration at 770-479-0407.
