  1. Gov. Brian Kemp has declared a statewide state of emergency until Monday. Temperatures are expected to reach near zero by Friday. The emergency allows propane to be delivered to residential and commercial buildings. (Canton-Sixes Patch)
  2. Traveling goes hand-in-hand with the holidays. Safety is a priority whether the family is hopping in the car to go to grandma's house 10 minutes away or to the in-laws a few hours away.   3. Two Cherokee County light displays were created for a cause this season. Holiday Lights of Hope at Hobgood Park and Holiday Lights at Veterans Park collect charity proceeds. Proceeds from Holiday Lights of Hope will go to the Anna Crawford Children’s Center to support children affected by abuse and neglect.
