  1. A Georgia man will spend the rest of his life in jail for the murder of his ex-girlfriend last year at a Fourth of July barbecue. Raphael Kelly, 22, pled guilty to multiple charges related to the death of 23-year-old Laci Moss in a Henry County courthouse on Monday. Kelly shot Moss six times at a barbecue in front of her mother and friends. Witnesses said the two had gotten into an argument earlier at the party. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. Even holiday humbugs can get in on the fun with this seasonal event in nearby Woodstock. Stop by the Woodstock library and enjoy all things grinchy on Dec. 21. There will be crafts, fun, and viewing of the classic "Grinch" cartoons! Children need to be accompanied by an adult, so bring along your favorite grown-up "Grinch." (Visiting Woodstock, GA)
  3. Celebrate Christmas Eve with a fun fitness event. There will be a White Elephant Christmas 5K at Etowah River Park on Dec. 24. Wear your favorite ugly Christmas costume for the run!
