History Cherokee Celebrates 50 Years with the 22nd Annual Kentucky Derby Day Fundraiser

History Cherokee is off to the races once again for the much-anticipated 22nd Annual Kentucky Derby Day Fundraiser, set to take place on May 3, 2025, at The Mill on Etowah. This year’s event is particularly special as History Cherokee celebrates 50 years of preserving and sharing Cherokee County’s rich history. Guests can expect an unforgettable afternoon filled with southern charm, thrilling horse racing on the big screen, and a festive Derby flair—all in support of a great cause.

His most successful horse, Abbedale, is honored in the Harness Racing Hall of Fame in Goshen, N.Y.
